Stumper & Fielding was born on Portobello Road, one of London’s most iconic streets.
In 2010, we opened our shop in a Victorian interior gem and filled it with antique suitcases, typewriters, and a touch of mischief. But it was never just about nostalgia — it was about reimagining Britain’s heritage for today.
From the very beginning, we discovered our creative powers. We stepped into the design room with Britain’s finest makers, shaping garments with bold colours, modern cuts, and eccentric details. What started as a boutique quickly became a brand — one that curates the best of British and redefines it through our own lens.
A vital part of our DNA is working hand in hand with the very best of British craft: wool mills in Scotland, tweed weavers in Yorkshire, silk printers in Macclesfield, wax cotton coat makers, and heritage bag specialists. These long-standing relationships allow us to source exceptional fabrics and materials, and then reimagine them into collections that carry the unmistakable Stumper & Fielding spirit.
Today, most of our work is designed and made in London, crafted from authentic British fabrics and built for modern life. Every piece tells a story of tradition meeting creation — a balance of heritage and playful character that makes Stumper & Fielding unique.
We are explorers, creators, and sharers of British style — past discovered, future created, always shared with you.
